Our awards
A beautiful place with a clear conscience

Energy Globe Award 2023

The Energy Globe Award for the federal state of Salzburg was presented by the Deputy Governor Martina Berthold. Werfenweng received the award in the “Sustainable Community” category with the cross-community project W³-Shuttle.

Top excursion destination 2023 in Salzburg

The Lake Wengsee  was awarded the title “Top Excursion Destination 2023 in Salzburg” by familienurlaub.info. In an evaluation of over 12 million online guest ratings, the Lake Wengsee  was voted the best excursion tip for families in Salzburg.

Some other awards

  • Sustainable Management 2005 As part of the “Sustainable Economy” stimulus program from the Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology, the projects “Soft Mobility – Vacation from the Car” and “Energy Model Community as an Energy Region of the Future” were awarded prizes.
  • Nets Award 2004/05 Werfenweng was awarded for “Gentle Mobility – Car-free Tourism” in the “Mountains” category.

  • Cipra: “Future in the Alps” 2005 Werfenweng was chosen as the winner by a top-class jury.
