“The Sound of Music” Trail
In the footsteps of the world-famous musical

In Werfen there is now – 50 years after the film adaptation – the new “The Sound of Music Trail”, which contains the history that takes place in the countryside, in the heights and expanses of the Werfen mountains. It starts at several stations in the middle of Werfen, at the tourist office. The existing “Kaisersteig” hiking trail, which leads to the Gschwandtanger via Werfen, has been redesigned into an interesting, appealing but natural themed trail. It is easy to hike for young and old in just over an hour with sturdy shoes and numerous vantage points invite you to linger, pause and take a short break.
