Idyllisch und herausfordernd zugleich

Winter holidays in Werfenweng are accompanied by a steady whooshing sound, which is when eager cross-country skiers are back on the local trails. Cross-country skiing is a much sought-after sport here in Salzburger Land. Not only because it promotes blood circulation, is easy on the joints and reliably clears the mind. But also because it is simply idyllic to go cross-country skiing at the foot of the Tennengebirge mountains.

Whether on the sunny plateau of the Zistelberg, along the valley floor to the idyllic end of the Wengerau or through the magical forest following the tracks of the owl: the perfectly prepared network of cross-country ski trails, experts, both skaters and classic skiers alike are captivated.
