Tobogganing in Werfenweng
A good workout on the way up and then a quick descent

Tobogganing is always a good idea! In Werfenweng you have the choice between several toboggan runs.

Tobogganing is simply part of a fantastic winter holiday …

…and experience shows that it excites adults just as much as children. So, we let ourselves be taken up the mountain by the cable car or trudge up through the forest ourselves to then whizz back down into the valley at high speed. If you can’t make it during the day, you can also try your luck on the toboggan in the evening thanks to the lighting. The excursion on two runners becomes really unforgettable in combination with a stop at the rustic inn. So: let’s go! Here is an overview of all the toboggan runs:

A 1,200 metre long tobogganing experience awaits you on the Köpflitzer run. From the middle station of the Rosnerköpfl village cable car, it goes downhill over several rapid steep turns. Also in the evening, on Mondays and Fridays the track is illuminated from 4pm to 7pm.

First take the Ikarus ski lift to the Bischling, then the chairlift to the start of the 6 kilometre long toboggan run. Look forward to extra long tobogganing fun with a breathtaking panorama through a very snowy landscape. The toboggans can be rented directly at the Ikarus bottom station.

Behind the municipal building yard, a footpath leads up the mountain through the winter forest. A little steeper at first, then it gets easier and easier, you will reach the Tennenblick Guesthouse after about 20 minutes. Here you can rent a toboggan, which will take you rapidly back down into the valley.

You will find wonderful winter hiking combined with a fun toboggan run on this route: Starting from the village, you hike either along the road or take the winter hiking trail Eulersberg to Gut Vorderschwaig (approx. 45 minutes). From there it’s back to the starting point on two runners.

Directly at the Werfenweng walking heaven, where it leads towards the idyllic Wengerau, you will find a tobogganing slope that will make children’s hearts beat faster. The walking time from the centre of the village to the hill next to the Leitingerhof is only about 10 minutes, but the tobogganing fun is simply endless.
