Culinary hike: Bischlinghöhe – Moosalm – Mayrhofalm – Dr.-Heinrich-Hackel-Hütte – Wengerau-Alm
Tour description
The starting point is the Bischlinghöhe. At the Bischlinghöhe Alpine restaurant you can enjoy regional cuisine, with Kasnocken (cheesy pasta bake), Kaiserschmarrn (chopped up pancakes), curd cheese and apple strudel. From there, head towards Ladenberg to the Moosalm, where homemade cheese, butter, sausage, bacon, schnapps, bread and cake are on offer. Continue via the Anton-Proksch-Haus to the Mayrhofalm, where homemade butter, cheese, sausage, bacon and bread are also available. From there via the forest road, past the Laubichlalm and the Brandstättalm, to the Dr.-Heinrich-Hackel-Hütte, known for its bacon, lentil stew and Buchteln. Down into the Wengerau valley basin to the Wengerau-Alm, where you can enjoy home-style cooking such as a cheese dumpling soup, a Wiener Schnitzel, Kasnocken, meat pasties and an apple or curd cheese strudel.
