Tour description

The starting point is the Wengerau. Pass the Wengerau-Alm and the Gamsblickalm, after 500 metres take the steep footpath past the Elmaualm and the Werfener Hütte. The path leads to the summit via the South Grade. Difficulty level III according to UIAA. The route is marked and in two places made easier by ropes, but should only be taken by experienced mountaineers. Surefootedness, a head for heights and climbing skills are a prerequisite! Danger of falling rocks! The way back leads via the Thronleiter ladder back to the Werfener Hütte and down to the Wengerau.
